Love of Cards

No I am not talking about my son's new found fascination with baseball cards and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, I am talking about greeting cards. If you know me you know how much time I love to spend on the card aisle reading the sappy and crappy cards that are put out for us to spend $5 on. Yes. Most of the time, I settle for a $0.99 card from the 10 card selection from WalMart.

Today on Yahoo News ran this article, "Now on the Hallmark aisle: Gay marriage cards" the opening paragraph gave me all the reason to never buy a card in the store again.

The nation's largest greeting card company is rolling out same-sex wedding cards -- featuring two tuxedos, overlapping hearts or intertwined flowers, with best wishes inside. "Two hearts. One promise," one says

Unfortunately I can't just ban them all but at least I can cut out half the time I search for them ... or maybe I can use this to ban the card store to tell them not to support the Gay Agenda. "Hallmark's largest competitor, American Greetings Corp., has no plans to enter the market, saying its current offerings are general enough to speak to a lot of different relationships"

Now my love will get a card of a 8.5 x 11 paper folded in half with just my thoughts scrawl led out in crayon. Going to be more personal anyway, right?

"(Hallmark) hesitated adding more wedding cards to his mix until after the November election, when California voters will decide a constitutional amendment that would again limit marriage to a man and a woman in the state" Lets hope the people in CA will stand up against the marriage idea and tell them to get a civil union or whatever.

"Hallmark)has found many vendors willing to work with her company, some have asked to be removed from the Web site because of hate mail or some other backlash.

Hallmark says all of its stores can choose whether they want to add the latest offerings"

Call your local Hallmark store and tell them not to carry the Homosexual line of cards. Call or walk in to your local stores and ask them to not carry Hallmark cards! A lot of businesses are looking for an excuse to do what is right.

Take action, it is easy. The Hallmark Store Locator.
